Be sure that the compost you're buying is completed the full degradation cycle and is "fully composted" a good way to check is to lift up about 5 bags into the pallet and stick your arm in and check the temp. if is hot its still composting in the bag and not done. .

you know that plant is going to grow another 3/4 to 1/2 its total size once you flower right. I hope you have 5 more feet of head space

it should stay room temp and smell like fresh clean soil

as long as the compost is done cooking and is completed the full composting cycle it will never burn your plants. compost that is not "done" will fry your plant like never before. if your compost has a smell or is warm or hot to the touch its not done cooking.

if you want a true slow release use feather meal.
