I'm finally getting to the point where I'm creating my own feed charts as well. I, like most all newer growers have been chronically over-feeding for years, expecting great results and not getting them.
Here's where I'm at now. I'd love to get some constructive criticism.
Looks like what happened to me when I was overfilling my DWC buckets. Make sure there is at least a couple of inches of gap between your water level and the bottom of your net pot. Also, keep your LED's 18-26 inches away from the tops.
The purple/red stems I'm getting on the affected leaves lead me towards a Calcium or Mag deficiency. In my new 5 gallons I mixed earlier, I decided to check the PPM of each nutrient I added:
PPM guide for AN Trio @ 3/ml per liter:
(into 5 gallons)
Starting PPM of RO Water: 10
30 ml GH...
I was hoping for green leaves all the way through flower. I will achieve it someday, but it seems today is not that day.
On a positive note, I've never seen this much trich production this early in flower...
Calcium/Mag deficiencies usually show up during veg.. kinda surprised to see it at this point.
Did you ever go all the way up to 4ml/liter on the AN nutes?
I am just a couple weeks into flower of Nirvana's GG#4. My observations so far is that she's a big drinker, tolerant to nutes, loves Calcium and Magnesium, and stretches like a mofo.
That's very similar to the RO Buddie system I use from Amazon. Replacement filters on Amazon are pretty cheap too. My PPM has crept up to 22 PPM from 8 over the last few months. Probably time to change the carbon and sediment filters. RO membrane is supposed to be good for up to 500 gallons.
I'm super happy with this RO system. It was like 65 bucks on Amazon. I bought a shower diverter and an adapter at Menards so I can run the filter from my shower with a valve. I've done at least a hundred gallons through it and it's still holding steady at 8 ppm without the de-ionizing filter...
Yeah I think my cities' reservoir must be on a bed of limestone or something. 470 ppm sucks. I don't even use it for coffee or soup. Ice tastes like shit.
