    MaxiBloom -- bright pink roots?

Sounds about right. The plants seem happy so I'm not going to flush or anything like that. EC is stable.

    MaxiBloom -- bright pink roots?

Here's a pic with lights off. Pink indeed.

    MaxiBloom -- bright pink roots?

Just switched to General Hydroponics MaxiBloom in a DWC system. Mixed the nutes up real good in a separate container before pumping it into my reservoir. Looked at the roots about 24 hours later and I've noticed that the roots are a BRIGHT pink (the HPS light makes it hard for my camera to...

DWC Nutes that DO NOT STAIN?

I am looking to try a non-organic nutrient line that DOES NOT STAIN in DWC. I want pearly white roots. I have been using GH Micro + GH Bloom. Any recommendations? Thanks

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

I think I may have overdone it lol. That said, I actually applied 1 cup per gallon in this reservoir (as Hseinberg recommended for bad infestations). I said 3 cups per gallon by mistake (wrote my original post in a panic early this morning). I believe I did follow the instructions. It said 24...

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

Is this the "after slime" that Heisenberg mentioned? I applied a heavy dose of nearly 1 cup per gallon as a big innoculant and to clear up a potential problem. My roots had a slight browning and slime feeling before but it was very minor. This is my first time using Heisenberg's Tea. I woke...

1000w lights without individual ballasts? (40+ lights)

I wanted to ask this issue here before I raise it with my electrician. I will be dealing with 40+ 1000k lights in an industrial setup. This is about 5x larger than any setup I've previously attempted. I am a legal commercial grower. In the past, I've always had external ballasts. I am...

Lucas Formula + What? (or nothing)

Looking to amp up the potency/taste in DWC. Are there additives you recommend that will improve yield/taste/potency? Or do you think Lucas is all I need? I'm applying a Heisenberg Tea (MycoGrow + EWC) on a regular basis as a slime preventing measure.

    Non-organic root stimulator for DWC?

I guess I didn't make this clear, but I'm not talking about cloning. I'm looking for a product that will boost root growth while growing in a DWC system. More roots = more bud. But I want to find a non-organic product since I was slimed when I used Floranova.

    Non-organic root stimulator for DWC?

Any recommendations on a good product that will boost root growth without any risk of slime? This is for a DWC system. Had a bad experience with FloraNova and am now looking to stay away from anything with an organic component.

How easily should roots break away and is it normal for some to die?

Your third pic with the dark clump is exactly what I'm experiencing. The area with the brown kind of smells like a shoe and the FloraNova res water had a faint pond smell. But I never had slime per se. Just browning root clumps that smell a bit. I'm 99% positive it was the Floranova. The plants...

How easily should roots break away and is it normal for some to die?

Going to check this regimen out. I am hoping to experiment with a few different options over the next few months and see what works best. Thanks!

How easily should roots break away and is it normal for some to die?

So what nute regime did you end up settling on? I am inclined to use no nutes with an organic component after this experience. I'm running another res with just the Lucas Formula (no Excelurator either) and things look better than in the Floranova resevoirs. All white roots. They've only been...

How easily should roots break away and is it normal for some to die?

Now that I think of it, what nute regime do you use superstoner? One of the lessons from this, at least for me, is stick to nutes that do very little staining. Makes it easy to diagnose whether something is wrong. The floranova is sludgy and dark...looks and acts a lot like black strap molasses.
