The beer seems to be nutritional from what has been stated in various places. I guess the only way to know is try a mixture. A single large bottle of ale is not an issue to use in a garden if a tablespoon will correct ph while acting as a positive soil amendment.

The ph of local water is about 8 in the area in which I would like to attempt a garden. I read the ph of most beer is about 4....would a tablespoon or so added to a gallon of this water correct the level?
