The Official Canna Coco & Nutrients Thread

I guess what im trying to say is that you should be okay, based on my experience, running 5-7ml/gal and not giving them too much N.

I have had trouble with only one strain in flower getting too much N from canna. I found that running, like you, 5-7 ml/ gal is sufficient and not too much N. When I had a real heavy feeder, I had to supplement with CaMg which I didnt have to do before running the Canna line. What I found was...

    algae build/slime up in reservoir

I run tap water through a carbon filter thats supposed to take out all the VOC's but leave trace minerals so it may have iron in it... My lines are all light proof and my res is like 98% light proof.. I'm sure theres some very very small light leaks near where the hoses come out of the lid but...

    algae build/slime up in reservoir

My res is actually outside my room so I run drop lines into the room and then the table is drained back outside the room so sounds like a different setup. First time running coco so I'm sure I'll tweak it a bit as I go but this is the healthiest grow I've had yet and I've been doing this for a...

    algae build/slime up in reservoir

Okay so maybe this is something I'm just not used to dealing with. I was always doing organics before and thats not really an option with a drip system. Thanks for the input guys.

    algae build/slime up in reservoir

I have a chiller running keeping my res at 68 degrees. I am running the full line of canna coco at around 650 ppm. Why is there algae/brown slime all over my pumps and lines every few days? I run mammoth P too but I have been reading people had no problem for up to 10 days with that in their...

New Beginnings for Massachussetts and I

Hey guys - Maybe someone here can help me as I've seen a lot of talk of tinctures here. I want to make a tincture for a family member who just started chemo today. I have a bunch of rosin laying around that I pressed from dry ice kief and decarbed in my attempt to make thc vape juice. Long story...

For what its worth I test my ppm and pH every time before feed (obviously) and I also check the runoff. What I am seeing is 5.8 pH in and around 6.1 pH out along with 600ppm in and around 650ppm out. I assume this telling me to back off a little more with the feed and do a good flush?

How often do you guys flush your coco and how do you go about it? I have read all different types of responses on this and I'm not sure what to do. My grow has been AWESOME (thanks to the good info here!)since I switched to coco and I am just reaching the end of week 1 flower and the scrog is...

Gotchya. Yeah I can buy that letting it dry out more than 50% at first would be beneficial.. Make the roots stretch. As for the transplanting before flower. That is longer than I would have figured but I buy it. I have typically given plants 7-8 days to fill out their new pots before flower...

That's pretty dam good. I would be thrilled to get that as a result. I really just need to dial in my watering/feeding schedule to get better results because my room and environment is completely under control. That being said this is my first run not only with synthetics but coco as well. Until...

Yeah I followed that advise kind of blindly... I'm new to coco and I figured the clones had decent roots and it was only a 1 gal pot but I can see it is causing some issues. The girls are growing at a decent rate I can just tell they need more nutes because they are a lighter shade of green than...
