hi all , reading up on DIY filters there seems to be a mixed bag of opinons , as the title says could anyone whos dealth with DIY filters give me there personal experiences when using one many thanks :bigjoint:

cheers bunnyface, ill see if i can get some flat white somewhere for cheap if not ill just use up the gloss , can always strip and repaint and my setup is only gonna use cfls so hopefully there won't be too many hotspots and its gonna have a few pc fans bringing fresh air in :cool:

quick bump since im tempted to use non drip gloss if it doe'snt affect the plant and not to fussed if it is only a little less efficient than flat white ?

alright then cheers for the reply , can i just ask why plain flat is better ? just curious and i found a spare tin of non drip gloss thats sat right next to me as well as some white ready mixed poster colour :lol:

hi all , as the title aks is non drip gloss safe to use to paint the inside of a grow box ? as in it won't give off fumes due to heat and damage the plant

planning a grow myself at some point and am very interested in this , my question is would a decent computer fan be able to handle this ? and does a carbon filter need to be on both outtake and intake ?

awesome grow log man really enjoyed reading it , i was just wondering for odour control what did you use cause im planning a single plant grow from auto northern lights soon and just trying to figure out how to set up :bigjoint:

cheers for the info guys , and no the £50 is lights and odour control , it does'nt include seeds or nutrients im gonna use fish tank water since it'll be high in nitrates which will help im just gonna go for it and see if the smell leaks i guess ill cut my lossed and chop it and save for better...

well any amount of weed i can get from a first grow will be a success to me , there probably is'nt anything better than a carbon filter and fan but im just proposing an idea to try reduce smell and trying to get an answer to that question ...

so if i seal all air leaks with carbon padding , put ona gel as well as a tub of activated charcoal inside the container would this eliminate the smell ? i know the plants won't produce there highest yield without a fan etc but surely doing this is the same as a carbon filter ? many thanks ...

alright ill check out ebay for some duel spec bulbs, it should stay fairly warm especially since its got a lid aswell and the lights can be contained inside until they get to about a foot and then ill just pop the lid off and its coming up to summer , its warm in the attic due to all the...

ahhh awesome ill look into that i found some for like £10 each is that a good price for the 45w ones ? also as for my setup am i looking at a alright yield or is there more i could do ?
