I tested my 150w hps and temp rose to 91, but w/new fans, could lower it alot. I'm keeping lid cracked too, it helps. Temp is at 83-85. not too bad, nite at 73. Humidity droped to 40, should be okay. I got a 2 - 18x18" screens @ 2"x2", should be great. At what height did you place them? 2-3" below lower lip of tub? Girls are almost 3 wks. I'm LST and FIM'ed too. Looks like it helping, but moving a little slow. I gave a little mollasses as well. I thinking 12/12 in 1-2 weeks? right? I know I got to get temp DOWN. Don't know what to do. I'm even placing fozen h20 inside to help...THANKS!

Thanks for the info! I'm agree with the tubes, wont b using them for now. the blotches are doing fine. no yellow tips, anything, they look really healthy. I FIM'd them last night. We'll see if it helps. So, you suggest a noob to Scrog them? I got a good couple of 2"x2" screens...When should I start the 12/12 to sex. They started Oct. 16/19th, now on 3-4 node/5" tall. Should I wait 1-2wks, before switching? And, at wk 4, start nutes? Lastly, I got a 150hps, will that work for flwring?? Too hot? Too close? for your rubrmaid box. base will hang 6" from top lid down...it's yellow, 2200k, I think. Thanks again for your time!

Can't b nute issue, no nutes yet. I got c02 from your idea, 2 bottles. doesn't 2-120mm intakes blow out the c02? 1 yeast/3 scoops sugar, h20, lid w/hole, right? carbon filters impeding air flow/increase temp. there off right now. just 2 bright lites out of roof of tub ambient room temp 78.
question- h20 tubes sticking out or taped to inside? temp at 85 too high? given co2 kind of available. FIM/Cropping??? Most importantly, 12/12hr to determine sex, then back to veg? I need to get down to 3, right? Many thanks for your time!

I'm nubee & an avid reader of yours..GREAT Shit!...I dig your design & copying it nearly 100%. Phenom stealth op & functionality. I'm in process of assembly & have some ?? I'm working w/ 2 or 3 plants, I've got 1 DemiFem, 3 Chez, 2 Happy Outdr 2 wks grown, 4 leaves each...So, my ????'s are: Airflow and temp...I got 2x2' T5's and 6 x 23w CFL.I think that should be good. Heat is my concern...It's going in the garage & temp is "hellish", near 100 deg. right now...I'm in TX, so I know it will drop w/ fall coming... There in closet now, but short term for vegging..I'm looking to transfer couple in boxes & others outdoors. Closet temp is 82deg w/53 hum. I've got 2x 120mm fans, 1 80mm fan..I got the 2x carbon filters on top.Passive right? Should both 120's be intakes on top and bottom box? Should I use 80mm too 4 add'l help. Box will b hot. Is garage a no go, for now? Will 2x120's be enough? To lower temp, should I sub 6x23's w/ 2 more T5's? Any info would be outstanding!

I copied your design almost 100%. I've used 2 35 gallon rubbermaid roughnecks and two computer fans hooked up to one 12volt 850mA DC adapter. The problem I'm having is even with no filter hooked up to my vents the temperature is way too hot. right now i only have three bulbs on my new seedlings and the temp sits at almost 90. the surrounding temp in the house is only about 73 on average. the lights are hanging about halfway down where the two tubs meet. it is absolutely airtight in there too. right now I have whats called an "in line duct fan (6 inches) helping pull air through one of the top vents and is lowering the temp to about 82 on average. If I add the remainder of lights the temp will skyrocket. any suggestions?

Hey there fishindog, I'm trying to use your RubberMaid basic design but I'm having a problem with lights, I to want to use CFL's to cut down energy and decrease the fire hazard but the problem is the largest wattage I can get is 20W which is compared to 100W on the box but is more like 75 - 85W.
Will eight of these do the trick or do I need something else. If so, can you advise another method or bulb sequence to use? Thanks.
