New COB setup, plants not transpiring enough.

Thanks for the advice. The IR leds wouldn't be added to create radiant heat but rather trigger the plants to keep there stomata's open so they can transpire more. Well that's my thinking anyways.

New COB setup, plants not transpiring enough.

Ok I have installed another wall panel heater today, they are fairly low in power consumption. I am in the tale end of winter over here so the room is currently quite cold 22c. The extra heater should bump that by 2 or 3 degrees. Summer is just around the corner which will help bring the temps...

New COB setup, plants not transpiring enough.

I'm really looking for more input on adding the IR spectrum as I think this will be the best route to get leaf temperatures and transpiration increased. If I was to add some IR and far red star pucks from Rapid to my existing lights, how many would be needed to get a desirable effect?

New COB setup, plants not transpiring enough.

I did think about that as well and that might be an option. I double checked my measurements and the grow space comes to 6.4 meters squared. When I did the initial calculations It came to around 600 to 700 ppfd per meter square if I can recall correctly. This is not for flowering at all, just a...

New COB setup, plants not transpiring enough.

Yes the room has been dialed in for a while. I did have to add an additional heater with the cobs. I'm just really trying to avoid adding another. I have fans on the canopy and decent amount of air coming in and out of the room. If I have to add another heater or dehumidifier as a last resort I...

New COB setup, plants not transpiring enough.

Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. I do have room to raise the temps and lower the humidity in my rooms stat's but it's going to require another heater and a dehumidifier be added to the room. I'm trying to avoid this as my power consumption will end up being the same as my old HPS setup...

New COB setup, plants not transpiring enough.

Hello Everyone, I've just recently switch my veg room over to COB LEDs from HPS. (24xVero29@1050mA over +-7sqm) My plants are in 100% coco. While using HPS I could get away with feeding my plants daily once they had established a good root system. Now with the new COB setup I can only feed...

Any tips to slow or stop oxidation when opening closed loop system?

Thank you, great information. I think I will freeze the fresh product when I do give it a try. I would prefer a cleaner product over any yield increase I might gain from not freezing. Does this also hold true for dried and cured starting material?

Any tips to slow or stop oxidation when opening closed loop system?

Thank you OilHead, I appreciate your two cents. When running fresh material, would the water in the product ever act as it's own solvent and bring excess chlorophyll through with the LPG, or is that not an issue at all? What is the reasoning behind why people freeze the product prior to use...

Any tips to slow or stop oxidation when opening closed loop system?

Thank you. The whole process is done in a freezer at about -20c/-25c, then when doing the recovery I put the collection vessel in a warm water bath no greater than 30c. The recovery is fairly slow because of this but I don't have any time constraints so it's not an issue, also this results in a...

Any tips to slow or stop oxidation when opening closed loop system?

Hello Everyone, Does anyone have any advice on how to slow or stop the oxidation process that starts once you introduce your product to atmosphere. My product always looks so light and lovely in color in the closed loop system but as soon as I release the pressure to do the pour it quickly...
