Hello all... this is something I've struggled with the last 4 grows... when to start feeding... I am growing three indicas and a sativa in Ocean Forest soil... They are just starting out veg. First plant today has 3 full sets of leaves...
I have always started too late in an effort to avoid...
It's funny you say that... besides initial lumen output I don't see a whole lot of difference betwen the sweet hortilux one and the inexpensive one... :)

Sylvania...
Something I've always been curious about but am not sure I am getting good information on is, why am I paying $100 for my Hortilux 400W HPS bulb when I could be buying one of these at like 10-50% of the price...

yeah now I am just weirded out, it's just flickered back to being as bright or brighter than I've ever seen it... it wouldn't do that if it were dying would it?!
I just realized today that my bulb was extremely dim when it came on.. was fine yesterday, I guess it's life is about over...
How much is the dim light or the possibility of it going out going to effect the plants during this light cycle until I can get a new bulb tomorrow? Should I just treat...
Yeah... this coming grow will be #4 that goes all the way with hopefully no casualites again... I've improved my yield about 30% each time and have always had some small little fuck up that hoses the plants just before flowering... I know the knack will come after several tries, just trying to...
yeah that's what I am doing now, and still overwatering... or so it would seem... it's really hard to find that balance if you're not there looking at it everyday...
Anyone know of, or use moisture sensors to determine when to turn the irrigation pumps on and off? I am trying to determine how i can best leave my soil systems running on their own for a week or two at a time and ensure that things are sufficently dried before the irrigation kicks on again...
Thanks for your help... you're right about the chlorine burn, it's from the flushes, I don't have anywhere to store 18 gallons of water to evaporate before the flushes :(
Everything in the reservoir sits for at least a day before it's used...
