Just go 12 hours dark and back to normal 12 hours light. Your plant/s should be okay unless it happens more than once. Good luck :)

thanks for the feedback mate, I will definitely make some big changes for my next grow when I actually know what I'm doing and possibly 2 plants instead of 1 and may update my lighting but depends on the electricity bill for the time being. How much do you estimate this grow will yield?

Another strange thing I noticed is this happens for the last few hours of light cycle each day. (Usually it was just minor but this is the worst it's gotten.) I'm on 18/6 (auto)

Usually 2-3 days between waterings but the plant is starting to flower so I assume it is probably using a bit more nutrients/water than usual. I'm not sure it's overfeeding as I've watered the plant the exact same over its whole life.
