Watered every few days with a lower strength nutes

What if I mixed the coco with half the native soil and treated it like soil.

So what's the consensus, would digging a hole work?

Ive tried that, still got root rot, temps here stay over 40 degrees all year round. Even used 50% perlite. I'm thinking buy putting the coco in the ground, the root mass will stay cool.

Ive been a coco grower indoor for many years with no problems, growing outdoors in coco I'm always getting root rot, live on the equator its hot as all year round. I was thinking instead of pots to dig a 20 gallon hole in the ground and fill it with straight coco. Can anyone see any problems...

Thanks for your reply, I'll try a few and see how I go, I'll also try putting the hole on some 1 inch high instead of 2, just so the water doesn't sit in there as long.

Thanks for the info. I wish it was that easy, I'm an Aussie moved to rural Africa, English here is not coming, my well was dug by hand. Anything I have to get to treat the well will have to be ordered from the states.
