Put the 15g smart pot in the bigger pot without cutting it or removing it. Roots will grow through the fabric just fine. I up pot from 1g smart pots to 15g then to 55g or 200g all with the previous fabric pots intact inside. Sure it's a pain to clean the roots off if you intend to reuse them...

Yeah alfalfa, barley or rye would make a better SST. The seeds need to sprout quickly so they won't mold, I've never heard of using corn for it before. Thinking maybe your corn took too long to sprout in the water and molded over. If it was just white mold I'd probably use it but black is dangerous.

SST isn't for seeds its an organic tea made from freshly sprouted seeds used in veg. I wouldn't use anything with black mold in my garden but I'm no expert in organics this is my first year using it myself.

There is 7.48 gallons in 1 cubic foot (how most soil is measured). So with that we do a little math and get 13.37~ cubic ft = 100 gallons. Go a step further you get 4.46 cft of each.

In the future to prevent premature flowering try to use the gas lantern technique or some supplemental lighting. Clones tend to flower when they get less than 15 hours of light since they were taken from an already mature mother where seeds need time to mature.

Recommend getting 2 more of those fluorescent fixtures for a total of 96 watts for that size space. You can buy cfls at a hardware store if you'd rather go that route.
