yep, inline booster fans do nothing, get you a bigger like 750 cfm with a fan speed controller and you can cut it down to what you need

I have 2 5x5 tents with air cooled hoods drawing from inside each tent, going to a Y outside the tents then to my fan.. and mine is a 6 inch fan and works fine.. I equaled the duct lenghths to try to keep the suction the same on both! so you should be good
