I thought that softened water was bad to use because of the osmotic effect on the plant cells. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I thought softened water makes plant flaccid.
62% is a safe level to store weed without it molding. Discoballs said that "The goal is to take the humidity of the contents of the jar down to 52% as slow as possible (1-2 months). Once the all around humidity of the jar reaches 52% the curing process ends."
The bud does not even get a chance to cure using these packs. These packs only preserve the weed, it does not cure the weed... This forum is talking about curing weed not storing it. I don't want my weed to smell and taste the same as the first day I put it in the jar. I want it to get smeller...
Easily monitor the humidity of the buds with a hygrometer on the cap of a mason jar. The caps I got work great. I found mine at this site http://www.cureand.com
