If it is just a short you can find it might just need soldering or a new cord.

Sounds like a short somewhere check and make sure all connections are tight. also just try to move the cord around like it might work if you have the cord raise above or below or something. I don't have this ballast only using cfl atm but seen things like this many times.

Well my problem has not gotten any worse I trimmed the affected leaves and trashed them and all looks good! I did some lst and fimming today also added another light so it has 78 true watts all 6500k I guess next ill add a 26 watt 2700k into the mix.

OK got a problem lower leaves are getting black spots? I notice it is getting about 58-60 at night in my closet could this be contributing? Its only on the 2 lowest sets of leaves only showed up day after I water with worm castings, kelp meal, and some barley sst paste.

Not saying this is your problem but I see one on your leaf. Everytime I get a water droplet on my leaf it get a brown spot from the lens effect.

These leaves are stacking pretty much not growing up at all! Im sure it will start but loving the way it looks.
