Yes you can. But I would advise bringing them in at night to keep them warm. The daylight hours are from 10.5 to 9.6 from now until the new year. You won't get the top yield, but yes you can grow pretty decent plants.

If you can, just bring the plant inside at night to protect it from the lower temperatures. As long as the temperature during the day is above 70 then your good. Just make sure it has much sunlight as possible. Days aren't long, so you need to get the most you can. Not sure what your weather...

Use some of that mylar and tape it so that when the cabinet doors are open the whole inside is covered by mylar with the black side facing out of course. And make a split in the middle that is held together by either a zipper or velcro. Something like that. Hope that helps

But yes to the question your asking. Do your normal 18/6 and switch it to 12/12 and you can keep it there the whole time. You won't get the maximum yield, but they will grow. I have 5 photo's 3 wks into flowering and 5 auto-flower that are 5 wks old that are 12/12 in my closet.

The earliest I top my plants at is the 5th leaf set, cut about 1/4th of an inch above the node. Not sure how many times you can top it though, I just stick to once.

Since my doors don't have any mirrors on them, I'm probably just going to get 2 small fans and cut a hole at the top for exhaust on the side that my ballast is on (left) and then an intake at the bottom right hand corner. Probably paint them white so they're as discreet as possible. Going to try...
