I don’t smell anything like that. What you see there is a top layer of mulch. My soil is around 25% perlite. I moved my light up about 16”. It was at 24 from canopy. They seem a little more perky 12 hours later. Not sure if that was the issue.

Yes. Where are you in flowering. You can pluck it out now carefully with tweezers. Now that you have seen one your plant will probably start producing a lot more. If you are close to the end I would not worry about it.

Thanks. Just noticied that some of the white hairs are now brown on some buds. Does that mean they were pollinated?

I'm in my second serious grow. In my first grow some of my buds popped bananas towards the very end of flowering (feminized seeds). This time I used almost all regular seeds. Went in the garden today and underneath some of the lower buds were bunches of male flowers. Some pollen released...

Am I correct that this is a male preflower? First time using reg seeds so I'm not used to spotting males. Wanna get it out asap if it is.

Typically I put a base layer of soil down, sprinkle some mycorrhizae, put my root ball on that and fill in the sides w soil. Then a light watering. Any other suggestion?

I'll take a pic of the roots shortly. I cannot use hydrogen peroxide as I am using a TLO soil. I do not want to kill the good micro life which the hydrogen peroxide will do. I do not have a complete infestation and I have only noticed one or two flies left in the room

There are probably about 20 holes on the bottom of the cup as well as the ones you see around the base. I'll take one out to look. What would I see with the roots if the gnats damaged them?
