Phusionsa, i agree it would be cheaper to add a small ac unit or more ventalation but the t-5 system would be free to me, the main two reason are heat and energy cost. so many options so few dollars!! Thanks and good farming!
ouch that hurt but i'm sure your right. 87 with 200k + thats not so good! cant get ac but cant think 95 is a good plant temp either. prob let this go as is for now. Thanks Johnny Retro
use 10 bulbs? less heat and less $$ are also part of the reason i am looking at t-5 i have heard of some good results. 600HPS is great for the right place with the right supporting supplies (A/C, ventalation, etc) Thanks Joshrose54
Would that just be for nutrients or flavor? It would be a good flavor if it took! i just started adding malasis (sp) to try and bring out more flavor. just pictured a giant pot plant snacking on a piece of fresh coconut sittin on the beach.. LMAO. better put this thing out for a...
So it would cause a major issues? shock, decreased yeld? its says its total is 432 watts (8 t-5's), so from 600 (HPS) it just seems like a little cloudier day. I dont know thats why i ask! Thanks Brick Top.
If you were 3-4 weeks from harvest using 600w HPS but started to have excessive heat problems can you without shocking the flowers switch to a t-5 4ft X 8 bulb total 432 watts system? I have heard the t-5 produce much less heat but the HPS is a workhorse so i am not sure. Thanks in advance for...

seems like it could save a lot on energy to me. but like mentioned yields would be smaller per plant but more plants. If you have your own mother to clone from that seems like a cool thing to try to because some people are into quicker results. ADD :)
Had a friend tell me about a posting on a site he likes to looks at (some people just dont learn) that some guy took 2.5 inch rooted clones and went straight to 12/12. ended up with 12'' branchless bud. Sounds odd and like it would have a small yield but has anyone here ever done it?
I also hope for no outage and yes 7 pm for heat reasons. Thanks for the quick response. i just didnt want to be all alone in the dark :) without anyway to ask anyone this stuff. Happy Harvets to all!
