You said it right there. It was good for your other plants but you haven't tried it with "pot". If the soil has time released fertilizer in it then it will burn your plants, especially young plants. Ask around if you dont believe me.

Dont use soil with fertilizer already in it, like Miracle Grow or some shit. It will cause neut burn and other problems. Use an organic soil or sterilized potting soil. Pro Mix is awesome and it can be found at almost any nursery.

Thats exactly how its made, heated to a high temp. You can reuse your carbon though if you flush it with clean water. For even better results heat it up in the oven for an hour or so after you flush the carbon.
