yes, avoid overwatering, try to get a fliter, and don't take clones from flowering plants. Also maintain good sanitation practices when you take cuttings to avoid stressful or fatal infections.

By the way: try to avoid taking clones from flowering plants; any kind of pruning during flowering can cause wilting and stress. These problems can compound or at least make themselves more visible when you: overwater, change EC (PPM) too rapidly or too high, or just introduce too much sodium...
