LST with sprial shape: When should I initiate flowering

Long and short of it is... Just grow and develop the canopy of your grow area. There are numerous training techniques all good. "Wall to Wall" big ass leaves and plenty of light is key to success.

What did I do to my plants?!

Not actual temperature. "Hot" means overfertilized. Hang in there !

    Over watering or something else?

Make your life simpler and grow in a soil mixture. All the "...ponics" methods work great if you are on top of your game. But fuck up one time, just once and they are toast. Otherwise nothing beats a soil based grow. Very forgiving.

What did I do to my plants?!

If you are watering more than once every 3-4 days you are overwatering. This depending on the fact you have a vigorous plant, in a properly sized container. Soil needs to dry out thoroughly between waterings, like bone dry to the point of wilting.

What did I do to my plants?!

Too much N and not enough light

    Are these still good...

OK. Fine. What is the "stuff" being poured down the drain ? That is "very harmful" ? Oh, yes, salts. Now I get it.

    Are these still good...

Well, generally salts are the form of nutrients available in the soil solution. Perhaps you need to learn / understand what salts are. They are ionic solutions formed by a reaction between acids and bases. The H+ portion of the an acid is replaced by by a metal (usually) cation. NaCl is of...

30+ years old seeds. What would you do?

I planted some 9 yr old seed (refrigerated) a while back and got about 30% germ rate. 30 years in an uncontrolled environment... I would think the probability of success would be near zero. If it's a strain worth pursuing I'd chuck them all in soil, but would not be disappointed if nothing...

Fans leaves starting to fall off, getting concerned, any thoughts??

Yeah, I realize this, but it's not that common of a problem. Nutrients - More than often problem is too much "love" Water - More than often problem is too much "love" Light - More than often problem is too little "love" As stated generalizations can get you in trouble. I have seen some...

    Nute burn plus something else?

Welcome to the world of growing ! Point was it is really hard to grow perfect plants. My rule of thumb is this.... If I view my plants from 10-15 feet away (3 to 4.5 meters if you roll metric) and I say "Oh Fuck" then I have a problem. Had a couple of those moments over the years. But if you...

Fans leaves starting to fall off, getting concerned, any thoughts??

Ditto. Overwatering and underwatering both show the same symptoms, droopy leaves. Narrow dark clawing leaves sign of excess N. Personally I would flood them with plain water next watering or two. Don't go poking your fingers in the soil, learn to gauge watering needs by the weight of the plant...

    Nute burn plus something else?

First grow ? They look fine, you are never going to grow High-Times centerfold quality plants w/no blemishes. Don't go trying to correct a problem you can't diagnose and you do not have, you will for sure F them up.

don't have much hope for these

Offhand looks like a classic nitrogen deficiency, possibly needs more light as well. Not knowing anything about your grow I would feed them full strength with a balanced fert with plenty of N.

Is lollipopping really worth it? Does it increase yield

Well, I think most new MJ growers would be well into the game to concentrate on basic gardening and botanical concepts. Forget marijuana there is NOTHING special about growing it. I read a quote some time ago that went along the lines of "Advice about growing weed is thrown about by people...

How to get rid of fruit flies or gnats?

I have used these w/great success. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000I6K3JY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I guess success is relative. But I have never had a bug problem. Keep about 5 of these in a 5' X 6' grow area. They last like 2-3 years, always stay sticky. So, what I'm...
