yah thats a good idea. alright thanks alot! thats all i was looking for. i dont know why i was so unsuccessfull. i did everything right by the sounds of things. (except for the dome) ill put a dome over them too next year. with lots of holes in it to try and stay away from my mold issue.
as a rule I always like to take a lab mentality about this so I would say rather than go fro broke one way or the other split your load between the two and see what gives you better results. my guess would be that it would be pretty close either way, yet would make a great journal study. I would even place a bet that could end up becoming a group study.
so do pucks. theyve got the trays and i just drop them into soil. but should i try rockwool next year? ill try anything. i only got 5 successful clones out of 25 cuttings. thats pretty fucked. i dont think i did anything THAT wrong. but i must've right? ill try rockwool next year.
oh snap the other plus to the rock wool has cool drop trays that just make life sweet
naw it should be fine as far as I know I dont use pucks for clones I use 2" rock wool cubes because they can get dropped into soil, or just about any other medium
yah i pierced it, but a quarter inch? i only pierced the skin of the stalk all around it, like .10in. deep. i didnt water with anything special though. ill do that this year. thanks alot man! and so it doesnt matter that i just push em into the puck?
dude i so did the same thing the 1st time i cloned you are only missing two step that make all the diff. 1st when you take your clone before you dip in gel take a xacto knife and wound the sides of the stock all the way around with cut lines about .25in. to 1in. depending how big of clones your pulling off your mother. the wound get the gel to work right will see roots in a week. 2nd dont just use the gel and be done, once you have gel'd them and plugged them in (what ever medium you using) water them with clonex mix and you will get the results you are looking for
yah, you probly can, its simple,..i just cant clone :s im new too it, and this year i took a bunch of clones off a bunch of different mothers. (so its not the strain) i took a bunch, dipped them all in gel. and put them all in peat pucks. the pucks sat for weeks under a flourescent bulb (just a household one :S) and after about a month, only five had roots coming out the bottom. the others were dying off. i dont know what i did wrong though. a friend of mine said i should poke holes in the pucks first so im not wiping any gel off the cuttings. what do you think? i just want to be a bit more successful next year as i am an outdoor grower.
I know a some what is your issue I might be able to help
yah its a pretty sick shot, ive got too get some of mine uploaded, mine are only about 3 weeks into bud though. just starting to get hairy . hey, sorry, if you know anything about cloning can i ask you something? nobody will answer my thread :s
