Kief Catcher
Hey, I want RIT's opinion on kief catchers.
I have a great 4 piece grinder with a kief catcher, but I was thinking of just purchasing a 2-piece sharpstone. I mean, is a kief catcher really necessary? If you're saving your kief you obviously won't get as high during your session. I agree kief is great to toke to, but another thing is how hard 4-piece grinders are to carry. When I am in a session with people the 4 piece always sticks out, what are your thoughts and what do you own? Also space case is not an option for me, way too overpriced.
I gotta have my kief catcher now i use one now due to bong water sitting in my safe and keeping my grinder nice and wet..burried for a few weeks lol shit went down but either way i honestly think ull get the same high no matter what? But bra who sticks out with a 4 piece ur the one lookin like the bad ass..

I have a 4 piece as well but it always stays at home. If you don't care for the kief get a 2 piece, if you do keep your 4-piece. You will waste a lot of thc glands with a 2-piece though in my opinion.

you bring your grinder with you when you go out? i keep my grinder at home and mostly use a dug out one hitter on the go. now if its more than just me puffing on the go then either pre grind, pre roll, or just use someone elses grinder but you may lose some keif oh no lol.

I have the four piece also, It is also a home fixture only. I use a dugout when I go out. Where have I heard this before?
When I want to get extra wasted or I'm trying to impress other growers, I grind my bud, then mix my kif into it, then put it in the dugout. It concretes up the dugout bud a bit, but it's worth it.
Hmm, I see. I carry my launch box to sessions, I try not to smoke unless that's the only way.
I have a very nice 4 piece grinder, grinds great. However, the screen gets clogged with kief and I collect very little from it. So for my money I would not spring for a 4 piece, unless, you find the quality of the grinder to be significantly superior then I would spring for it.
My first very nice 4 piece had that same problem. It turned out the screen was no good, they didn't use a size to allow trichs through. My second one works beautifully, and I still have it 14 years later.
I ended up cutting the screen out of the first one with a razon knife and it now sits there as an unused double depth grinder/storage box.
