I have a friend with M.S. and he has tried quite a few of the different strains I have grown and his favorites so far that he states are the most affective for him are Blue Berry, Bubba Kush so far,
He is going to try Querkle in about 15 days its kinda sedative like the Bubba Kush, I'll post how the affects are when we get more research done, also the bubble hash I make from the Blue Berry, Bubba Kush works very well for him. Hope this helps some.

Yes you are correct indicas are much better for pain relief and muscle spasms, as sativa's tend to lean towards a more heady high for treating depression and anxiety.
I hope that helps. also if you get into the science of it. cannabis with higher cbd levels will be more narcotic in effect.
good luck man

I forgot to mention that the bubble hash that works the best for my friend was the 73 micron filtered, the 25 micron has more of the sativa trichs which contain more thc rather than cbd's, this also seems to support that more cbd laden trichomes are better for pain relief, as you have already stated.

Cannabinoids contain quite an array of compounds and essential oils. The active ingredients of cannabis are, THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) gets a user high; a larger THC content will produce a stronger high. Without THC you don't get high.

CBD (Cannabidiol) increases some of the effects of THC and decreases other effects of THC. High levels of THC and low levels of CBD contribute to a strong, clear headed, more energetic high. Cannabis that has a high level of both THC and CBD will produce a strong head-stone that feels almost dreamlike. Cannabis that has low levels of THC and high levels of CBD produces more of a stoned feeling. The mind feels dull and the body feels tired.

CBN (Cannabinol) is produced as THC ages and breaks down, this process is known as oxidization. High levels of CBN tend to make the user feel messed up rather than high. CBN levels can be kept to a minimum by storing cannabis products in a dark, cool, airtight environment. Marijuana should be dry prior to storage, and may have to be dried again after being stored somewhere that is humid.

THCV (Tetrahydrocannabivarin) is found primarily in strains of African and Asian cannabis. THCV increases the speed and intensity of THC effects, but also causes the high to end sooner. Weed that smells strong (prior to smoking) might indicate a high level of THCV.

CBC (Cannabichromene) is probably not psychoactive in pure form but is thought to interact with THC to enhance the high.

CBL (Cannabicyclol) is a degradative product like CBN. Light converts CBC to CBL.

If you are a grower, you can experiment with different strains of cannabis to produce the various qualities you seek. A medical user looking for something with sleep inducing properties might want to produce a crop that has high levels of CBD.

Another user looking for a more energetic high will want to grow a strain that has high levels of THC and low levels of CBD. In general, Cannabis sativa has lower levels of CBD and higher levels of THC. Cannabis indica has higher amounts of CBD and lower amounts of THC than sativa.

Always remember "giyf" Google is your friend. I hope this helps.

You are very welcome FryGuy, there is a ton of information on the internet; you can find a wealth of info on the cannabis forums also. With a little over 27 years of an almost symbiotic relationship with cannabis I am still amazed at what this plant can do, not just marijuana but hemp also. My first wife survived 12 years of terminal cancer suffering thru all the chemotherapy and radiation sessions. Her relief came from a tincture, heating in a pan with a small bud usually Afghani or a hybrid indica, as pure an alcohol we could obtain,” everclear 190 proof worked great” to dissolve the cannabinoids as they are not water soluble the alcohol just boils off she would then add water and the specific tea she liked. When she had to take breaks from the chemo sessions she would use a cannabis sativa, Durban Poison at that time, it gives that euphoric feeling, helped with the depression. Also I swear it helped her hair grow back faster she swore it did too. I'd like to see a study on that someday hopefully soon but people are still duped by our government; anyway. The indicas worked for intense pain and appetite, she was always able to maintain weight, the doctors always asked how she did it they wouldn’t accept the answer given they said it had to be something else cannabis is illegal they didn’t care that it worked just the legality issues, goes to prove, show man the face of God they still won’t believe. Well I believe I’ve seen! Unfortunately she passed away and is now looking out for me. Now due to an oji (on job injury) table saw cut my 1st and 2nd fingers off also severed the thumb so bad it is only for looks doesn’t work anymore I will need the pain relief and depression relief I get from this wonderful plant. I wish you all the best and hopefully this can help guide you to what strain best helps you.

From your story I can tell you've got spiritual endurance. You can still flip someone off using your ring finger. It even looks kind of cool. Best regards to you man.

I have M.S. and there is do doubt it helps my spasticity. The pain relief and help with sleep are key for me. M.S. varies so much. I have to agree the Indica dominant strains are good like you have mentioned above. Blue Dream seems to be good to me. Good Luck finding ones that help you.

There are several Kush strains that would possibly help. I have a unique strain called Lemon Cake that is great for ms as well as many other debilitating conditions and a rock solid pain killer!

Try a Vaporizer that you have control over the heat setting (i use vapor bros) about 160. you can turn up the heat and by varying the temps the same strain of will have different effects as it would if it is harvested at certain times. I do not know where you get your meds however if you can ask the dispenser for the growers who watch for that----That is the Tri' s need to be Amber . I just dropped a bunch of BluDream off although a bit "airy" cause of lighting issues---all in all I have a bigger demand as I do not harvest till most are Amber. . SO make sure ask for it till you can grow your own if you cannot demand it and the Growers who are doing it right will be supplying instead of pot mills that wait till most are cloudy or they are at their fattest for weight and not worried about the strength or effect.

oreganics, is the Bubba Kush strain you are using the one from Greenhouse seeds?
Yes this Bubba Kush is from Greenhouse seeds 1 is a feminized the other is standard, I keep 2 different specimens around to compare. I have quite a few strains from greenhouse seeds lots of folks have said some bad things about their genetics I guess I've been lucky every strain is what they state it is and no hermies wow! I must be lucky.

Im right there with ya. Ive grown 5 Greenhouse strains and never had one hermie or not germinate. Ive also read a lot of negative stuff yet not had it happen to me. Like you I must also be very lucky. But I like to tell myself its because Im so damn good at growing!

Oh yeah I like that explanation so much better than mine. So... that means we are both just damn good at this huh!!!

oreganics, I was searching for strains for Multiple Sclerosis and found your post on a tincture. Would you be able to send me a more detailed account? How much Herb to alcohol, cooking time and temp? I struggle with understanding and problem solving. Thank you! I am sorry to hear about your 1st wife!
Unfortunatley I live in Utah and do not have much of a choice when finding a Herb.
Thank you! God Bless!
