I would HIGHLY recommend the butane extraction over hexane unless you have no vented/safe area to perform it in, but if you somehow got a hold of ACS grade hexane grind the weed/leaf whatever into a powder put it into hexane I would say probably about 10mL of hexane per 1g of weed. Let it sit a little while, if its in a closed flask you can shake it around, then pour some cold water into the solution and the hexane will float on top of the water and the weed should fall into the water, remove the hexane with a pipette aand evaporate the hexane to have a quite pure extract.
