20-30 Times stronger???? Did someone forget the percent sign?? That deserves a trophy!!! HAHA. Ok the average THC conectration 30 years ago was about 2-4%. Lets do the math 2%X20=40% ; 4%x30=120%. So that means today it would be about 40%-120% Wait a minute?? Hold on. So your telling me buds are being grown that are pure THC and have an extra 20% THC in some other quantum dimension??? The world record for THC is around 20%. This would mean AT THE VERY LEAST the shittiest skunk would be 2x as strong as the strongest plant EVER grown.

I belive now as I did when I initially read this piece that it was indeed a steaming, reeking pile of dung.

In my experience, of all of the substances which posses the potential to be abused by humans, Ganja is by far the most benign.

IMO, the most destructive and insidious drug is the perfectly legal alcohol.

I have seen more human wreckage as a result of booze than all of the illicit drugs combined.

We as a nation need to grow up and legalize marijuana...I am even in favor of a tax assessed on the purchase of legal reefer which could be used to assist those in need of treatment due to chronic alcohol abuse.


Of course this tax would be paid only by those unfortunate enough to have to buy ganja.

I would most certainly continue to grow my own delicious buds.

After watching Cheech park his Lowrider in Up In Smoke, I am convinced that marijuana has decreased in potency over the past decades.

I have not seen anyone park their car like that since the mid-eighties.
What could be causing this decrease in potency?

so where is the beginning groundswell of schizo-affective 50-60 somethings begining to crash? After 40-40 yrs of our generation being very serious potheads where are all of the ones who have flipped? I don't know them. I some very sucessfull and skilled people who happen to use cannabis. More dreck science paid for by the propagandists

I don't think the best available now is any stronger than the best back then. I am old enough to remember back 30 years ago (what little I do remember). The quality of mmj is more consistent and it certainly is trimmed and cured alot better than it was before. Back then it might have been hard to get anything but ditchweed or mexican brick. Now you can usually choose between 20 or 30 strains grown professionally. So as an average, I'm sure it is alot stronger now, but not by the factor they are claiming.

It's called marketing.
