Default Aromed Vaporizer Review
Well I would like to give a non biased review of the Aromed 4.0 Vaporizer by Research Experience.

As a little background I would like to say that I have owned a few vapes at this point, and so far the Aromed seems to be my favorite. My first was a little VaporGenie Pipe, which roasted the throat and went through lighters like crazy. Yet, once a proper technique had been developed is an excellent personal piece.

My next vaporizer purchase was the Original Solid Valve Volcano, which I loved, but decided to get rid of after a year of use after hearing that the elements often burn out on them. This piece was by far the best party piece, especially when you pack a gram or 2 in the bowl and put on a 10 ft. bag and fill it all the way till it hits your vaulted ceiling .

Instead of buying a new bong, I recently purchased an Aromed Vaporizer for around 400 USD. It does not seem that impressive when opened, doesn't quite have the wow factor of a volcano digit, but at a much more reasonable price, and you get the added benefit of water filtration.

After using the piece a few times now, I can tell you that this water filtration does wonders. I see lots of plant matter/dust fall through to the bottom of the water, which I know I just inhaled with my other vaporizers. It also cools down the air coming from the tube.

Another feature which I like as a medical user is the hit when you want usage, instead of filling up a Volcano and smoking alot more than I want to because I don't want the bag to get stale. With the Aromed all it takes are long steady bong like rips on the whip, and after a little bit of vaporizer creep, you can very accurately monitor the amount vaped.

Apparently the heating element is a Halogen Bulb, which is controlled by the digital temperature control box down below. The halogen bulbs are not supposed to outgas at high temperatures like some ceramic/aluminum heating elements that other vaporizers use.

As you can see the glass work is made up of a large downstem with a bowl blocked by a screen. Which is inserted into a small beaker, which has a flat side to be strapped to the back of the vaporizer, it also has a nozzle which you attach the silicone tube to which also has a small glass mouthpiece. The power cord is the exact same as a CPU power cord, direct from Belkin haha, but it should give more than enough power, and provides a good way to connect and disconnect the vaporizer when dissasmbling and putting it back in the case.

Overall, I would give the vaporizer a 4 out of 5 stars.

It definitely works its wonders, but at the same time, it is quite overpriced (most vaporizers are). If you are in the market for a personal use vaporizer, and don't entertain large parties (better with volcano), the Aromed is a great choice for you. The health benefits offered by this vaporizer definitely outweigh all others, which makes me think that the Aromed is the best water-filtered vaporizer in America--because the Verdampfer is only available in Europe.

Hope this is helpful for people considering buying one of these vapes.
Sorry for the long post
out.

Thanks for the review. This unit was on my short list last year when I was considering going with a vaporizer. This is not the unit I purchased. I agree that they are all overpriced. I liked the idea of water cooling and filtration. I am thinking about adding a water reservoir to my super vapezilla. Another project I have no time for - hahahaha

Let me get this straight. You gave up on a vaporizer because you HEARD the heating element goes bad. Where did you HEAR this. I have personally owned a Volcano for over 3 years. Once the cord quit working called storz and bickel and they fixed and sent it back complete turn around time 1 week. The warranty when i bought mine was 5 years, now it is 3 years. That is a better warranty than just about any electronics you can buy today.I have used all the little vapes and the box vapes and the plastic vapes. Nothing compares to the volcano. Not even close! I can't believe someone would pay 500 bucks and give it up because they heard and not investigated it. What did you do with your possibly defective volcano. I'll bet anything whoever has it is glad you were an idiot and gave up on the greatest smoking device since rolling papers. I really don't believe you ever owned one because you wouldn't have given up on it over something so trivial!

Haha, I could probably dig up some pictures of my old volcano, but yeah, knowing that heating elements can go bad was not the only reason i gave up on it.

Other reasons included that I can't get near the accuracy of a digital vaporizer with my analog volcano, and I got almost all the money I put into it back out.

Its very easy to get tired of the volcano, and I must say, for smoking by yourself, the Aromed is much more pleasant than a giant bag volcano bag you have to kill yourself before it goes stale. I can sit and sip on my Aromed for hours to maintain the perfect level.

Also be very careful with the glass, I definitly just put a fat crack into my bowlpiece this weekend while it was in transit in the carrying case (even with bubblewrap all over).

Your the only person in 4 years That I have heard of getting tired of the Volcano. Every Cano user I know loves all the aspects of the machine. It has saved my life. I am a med user and would not change for anything after trying the others and not getting what you get from the volcano! Price is the only downfall people can find after trying it.

Comparisons to the Volcano are a matter of opinion. I owned a Volcano and just purchased an SSV. After a week, I prefer the SSV. The guy reviewing the Aromed seems to prefer it over the Volcano as well. I'd recommend opening that Volcano and looking inside. You might be surprised what 3 years of accumulating dust looks like.

Don't need too. I just got it back a while ago from having the power cord replaced. They cleaned out the unit and it came back with a ton more power or so it seemed. Your right it is the users opinion in the end. It was just the statement about the heating element that caught my attention. just seemed entirely bogus! And that is MY opinion!!!

Having used both for several years, I would agree with what some others have said. I would sum up my opinion as follows:

1. The Volcano is less accurate and you have to vape everything you put in at once. However, it is better when you want to get 4 or more people high at the same time. It is also easy to take with you to parties etc.

2. The aromed is more accurate, more efficient and tastes better. If the Volcano is a Ford Mustang, the Aromed is a Porsche GT3. However, it is not easily portable and not well suited to use in large groups or at parties, where its sensitive glass parts can easily break.

Ultimately, I went with the Aromed, as it fitted my needs better. Ideally get one of each!
