i am using a brand new 5 quart crock pot. i started an hour ago with 2lbs of butter and 1/4lb of bud trimmings. i had the crock pot set on LOW. after 1/2 hour the butter started to turn brown around the edge of the pot. i have added 5 cups of water yet the edges seem to still be browning. i am stirring every 15 minutes. i have now turned it down to the SERVE setting, which is very low. do i just keep it on this setting a couple more hours? it has OFF, LOW, HIGH, SERVE.

just keep stiring. it only takes a few min.s for the fat to absorb the thc.
did you put all the trimmings into somthing??? or just mix pot and butter. you should put the trimmings into like a womans clean stocking, then add it to butter.

it's green i think it might have been 2 hours. the trim is turing brown if i don't stir every 10 minutes. i have some nylons i will strain it thru but i like the idea if just putting it in the pantyhose to begin with. just like my bubbleator. so if the butter is dark green it is done?

dude i made my butter in like 20 minutes. i dunno why your cooking for hours if it gets too hot you'll ruin your stuff...at least partially.
i mix it directly into the butter after i grind it really good. then i use a strainer. then i use the weed that has butter on it and mix it into speghetti sauce because i know the butter saturated bud still has thc in it. |

i hate to be one of those people that tells u what u should do but here i go. make a co2 extractor (never actually tried it) or a butane extraction or hell even bubble bags and turn that trim to hash. then just ever so lightly melt the butter (by leaving it at room temperature for like 5 hours) then pour in as much hash as u want and stir it in real good with a spoon. then u have extra hash to smoke. and real clean ass butter
