I have asthma and take 2 prescription meds. I just started blazing again after a long time and I have found that my asthma is much better! I am not having to rely on my prescriptions as much. And, I am not smoking dank (can't find any ). Anyone have advise on using weed and having asthma? Any particular strain that is more helpful than another? I am smoking it and I don't have a problem, but I will invest in a vaporizer soon.

I got asthma so does my mother, I stick to homegrown, and no hydro that kills my lungs..dont know if it helps at all..

That does help Iggy. I hope to have some homegrown myself next year. I was thinking of starting with soil and then do hydro, but I will rethink that (anyone else have an opinion?) In the mean time I am stuck with whatever I can find on the street. At least I know my asthma can't get worse! Does your mom use MMJ to help her asthma?

my mom is one like 30 prescriptions, mmj is one of them, she has very bad asthma because she smoked cigs for 40 years or something along with her bad asthma, but ya homegrown soil is the best too me, I mean I can smoke hydro here and there but straight will just blow my lungs out, I got myself a vaporizer at the headshop around here for 30 bucks it works great, but ya the vapo is a great way to help the lungs out, even though it takes away the enjoyment of just smoking it..

I have had asthma all my life. marijuana helps because it relaxes you and calms you down and takes away stress. One other thing I use a vaporizer, the Volcano and my breathing has improved unbelievably!Have been using it over a year now!

No doubt chemicals contribute to asthma cases - since the industrial revolution.

But how many of you also use weed to help with your asthma? Do you use it alone or with other medicines?

I also have asthma, for a time I also thought it helped, but then I started smoking cigarettes so now its hard to tell. But I have read articles claiming it helps, and I see it on flyers for medical marijuana dr.s all the time.

I have smoked both weed and cigarettes. The cigarettes makes me breathe harder for several hours, and I notice a shortness of breath for a long time. With weed, I feel like I can run a 10K afterwards! That's with smoking it!. I still take my prescription meds, but weed seems to enhance their potency!

CannaMama - I am going with Soil for my first grow - after much research I find soil more forgiving and simple. I will go with hydro after my 3rd grow.
