I am on Probation for felony theft in CA . i get random UA's and have to meet with my probation officer every month. i have had my MMJ card before my conviction and still have it. i have a court date this friday to ask for permission to medicate on probation. my lawyer seems to think i have a good chance. if anyone has had the same situation or just knows law, please tell me my chances on getting it approved. thank you. also i have other pill form prescriptions for my back pain, and i have been diagnosed with anxiety

If you have other meds that you have been subscribed for the same ailment that you claim to need cannabis for you might run into some opposition. You (your lawyer) need to convince them that the negative side effects of the other medication outweigh the benefits of their fully legal status and that cannabis is the only suitable alternative. You may also considering claiming that cannabis helps you with some other problem that you have not been able to find any relief in standard medications.
