i was visited earlier by a knowledgeable member of the weed community and he gave me this heads up - you know how there are state ID cards for cannabis patients? well - if you don't have one (and most patients do not) then the cops can say that they cannot reach the doctor on your recommendation slip so for the time being they will search your vehicle and take you in - or if you are at home they can slash your plants, search your house and take you in before later deciding that you are a legitimate patient.. - however - if you present them with a state ID - they can instantly get an electronic confirmation any time of day on your status! - so this is what you need to post on your patch - not just a doctor's note - often the pot doctors only work 2 days a week so you are out of luck if the cops can't call them...

to get the card you apply at a county level and possibly pay a fee of around $100... but, it seems like a really good precaution...!

thats why i use medicann, they have 24hr. verification over the phone or online. plus, my county charges a shit ton for their stupid card and they don't even honor it that well!

yea my doc has a 24 hour verification line and i practice a dont get caught idea like it wasnt legal, and unless they have a warrent there is not way in hell i will let them in they will have to break the door down and they better if they break down my door but the car and street can get you caught up so hopfully i just get a ticket and get it dismissed in court

I am with you on the as far as keeping under the radar...that's why I won't get a county verification card..I also don't my name on a data base..but it is my understanding that if you carry a copy of your script is just as good if you have an incounter with the cops.
If you haven't looked yet, look at your counies web site..they typically will list what they require..ie in my county I have to post a copy of my script on my grow room

The state is overstepping it's bounds with the cards.
Recommendations have been honored in my area. After one doctor shut down his hotline, another patient I talked to, after LEO had been to his house, was simply told to get another recommendation and everything was left alone.
