Default doctor issues.
So i have not been able to afford doctor visits as much as i would like. but if i want to go to a more cannabis friendly doctor how do i get my paperwork to him showing my past records? do i need to get a copy and take it with me or do i need to talk to my old doctor and have them officially sent over. my issue is i have not been able to get a hold of my doctor. so i am kind of in a rough spot. since either way i dont have my medical records available to be looked at.

We could provide more accurate information if you indicated what state you are from... most are different in their processes.

For Colorado you can either pick up you records from the doctors office and hand carry them or you can have them faxed over to the clinic that will be doing your rec.

For other states... I dunno

Same in other states but you can either get your old records in person for a fee usually or:

1. Find a place like THCF in your state. (A place designed to help people through the medical marijuana process)
2. Go there (THCF) and get a copy of their medical release form. (you can also get this off the web and print it)
3. Fill it out and give it to your old pot hating doctor, then they will fax the records to THCF/similar for free.
4. Then THCF calls you and arranges your appointment with their doctor and that they have received by fax sufficient records.
5 Show up at the appointment at THCF

If there are steps needed beyond that in your state they will tell you everything you need to know. In my state I then had to take that paperwork to department of health services/Oregon medical marijuana Program office and give them the final paperwork and pay them money too.

It's worth it to go through a place like THCF, they will lead you through and make sure you have every piece of paperwork right (which is not always an easy task).
