I was talking with someone last night about medical insurance and issues with it and such. I came across something interesting that I think a lot of you may not know, but he knows because he used to work for a doctor. So I'm here to spread the word and look out for your stoner asses and... save you literally thousands of dollars in medical bills.

IF YOU HAVE TRI-CARE, and the Hospital you use has a contract with Tri-Care, THEY CANNOT BILL YOU THE REMAINING BALANCE THAT THE INSURANCE WOULD NOT PAY!

He got several bills in the mail, thousands in bills, I mean THOUSANDS, cuz he's a kidney failure patient. So again, if you have tri-care, and you're still paying out the nose for your medical needs, I hate to tell you this but you just got screwed over royally. The hospital has tried to bill him and this is what he did. He took the bill back to the hospital and told them that he shouldn't have it and that they were supposed to "WRITE IT OFF." The lady gave him a strange look and walked away to get the person that handles financial situations. So he gives the bill to the lady as she comes up to him and here's what happened:

My friend (MF): Does this hospital have a contract with Tri-Care?
lady: Yes
MF: then this is yours (hands over the bill)
lady: No this is yours
MF: No, because this hospital has a contract with Tri-Care, they cannot bill me the remaining balance, you're supposed to write it off.
lady: *gives MF a look like, how the FUCK did he know that?

Yall see what ASSHOLES these people are? Even people in the health care system don't give a fuck about you. They just want their cut like everybody else. Now take the info I just gave yall and spread the word cuz we realized last night that there is probably MILLIONS of people, paying out the nose to these hospitals that don't even HAVE to!!! If they give you shit about it after you do what I just said, tell them you used to work for a hospital and you know these things lol. To them, that'll explain everything, to you, it'll save you some bullshit, and probably tens of thousands of dollars. I feel sorry for any of you guys that didn't already know this. But I just wanted to make sure yall did, I'm sure tons of you on this board have Tri-Care right? Lets hear some stories.

re-newing this thread to make sure everyone that needs to see this, does. I mean seriously, yall think about it, how many hospitals would try to stick it to you just for the extra money, JUST to see if you'd fall for it. All of them. Look out for that, if a hospital tries to bill you, you can tell'm to stick that bill up their ass.
