I am considering opening a dispensary in Colorado (Nederland, to be specific). I was wondering if there are any Colorado dispensary owners out there who are willing to give me some advice.

Does anybody have a conservative estimate for startup costs? I am going to start small and focus on cheap prices and good medicine. I have heard 20k at the minimum but I was thinking I could get away with 10k (I already have 15,000 watts and everything to support a grow that size). Do you think this is possible?

I am taking a class in a few weeks related to opening a dispensary and I've set up appointments to meet with lawyers and accountants familiar with this type of business.

On average how much do established dispensaries sell on a weekly basis? I have toured existing clinics in denver and fort collins so I know going rates for med clinics. Most places have doctors on staff a few times a month to enroll patients, right? I assumed this is how many new clients are enrolled.

I have found one, are there many other Colorado specific programs designed to hook patients up with caregivers?

Any other advice or known roadblocks I'll have to cross?

EDIT: Wow, I just noticed the post I was reading about Colorado dispensaries is recent and is on the same page. Delete this if you want but I feel as if I have asked a few questions not answered in the other post (though I'm not sure I read it all, it went off topic hardcore for a bit).

That was a hard read. I have a med grow and am a caregiver in co right now and was going to contact those guys? I want to sell my extra to the med clubs but after reading that thread Iam not sure who is safe? (are any?)

Heh I'm buying domain names tonight, now that you mention it. I'm a programmer so a site will be up in a few days but the domains are: colorado-cannabis.com and comfortablynumblabs.com.

If you do move up here I'm offering an incentive program of $250 an oz for any homegrown strain (all dutch passion) for anybody who signs me as their caregiver in the next month.
