I have a condition called ADD (for those who want to know Attention Defisit Disorder).

It causes people to lose their attention really easily (and a lot of other symptoms which I wont discuss here).

After the effects of smoking a joint/blunt or blazing up a bowl of a good sativa start to work out, I feel more focussed and able to to remember stuff for longer periods of time.
I only tested this effect with sativa (becasue I prefer sativa over indica mostly (for those indica lovers, dont be hatin)).

The hightend concentration will stay for about 2-3 days and it is the only thing that ups my long-term concentration, because without marijuana, I would have quit typing this about halfway and quickly knitted an end to this.

Anyway, if there are any people who also have ADD out there, please reply to this thread.

Yeah but I don't really want to get addicted to weed... I love it but I hate addictions, I just quit smoking and I feel like sht :P

I've got it, and experimented with a number of different strains till I found some that work well for me. Glad to live in California where I'm almost free to do so (I have a rec)

Oh, and to echo your results, I have seen the most benefit from sativas and sativa dominant strains, but I have heard that you can time your harvest to focus on the type of high you are looking for. Candy Jack and Jack Herer are my favorite strains.

I suffered from ADHD as a child and young adult. My mother used Ritalin to control it. When I had finally had enough of the way Ritalin made me feel (I didn't feel like myself on it, I often times felt subdued and distant.) I stopped taking it. It was very difficult for me to hold down a job at the time and had never really experienced weed up until I was approx 23 years of age. (Sure I had an occasional toke but it was never consistent like it is now.) I now use marijuana to control my excess energies and it definitely helps me focus after the high has disipated. When I have not smoked for several days (like now for instance) it is very difficult for me to sleep on a "normal" sleep schedual.

I know exactly what your going through and then some.

i have adhd and also use marijuana to treat my condition, i like indicas more peronsally but its all good to me

I use those to sleep, but sativas/sativa doms in the am
