I suffer from severe migraines since i was 12 years old, i'm 21 now, and I've just recently discovered marijuana.I'm not sure if its good or bad for this problem I have, because one time I smoked it and the pain got worse, and one time I smoked it and the pain disappeared.
Does anyone here uses marijuana for migraine treatment?What strains are best for this?
I just ordered a few white rhino, blue mystic and white dwarf seeds, and I'm willing to experiment.

Sour Diesel has worked for my headaches. White strains should put you in a temporary coma, but may work out. Just have a lot of water for the whites.

I've had Migraine problems all my life and have never wanted to smoke when I already had an attack! I think possibly if you use a RELAXING STRAIN, in between or before a full blown attack, it would help. I am in the process of growing several of the most sedative Indica stains for Migraine and other major pain problems. I am in the learning process as far as MM goes and I know it will take time to gather information about what helps with many divergent problems. I believe also that each indivdual reacts differently to various stains.
Hopefully, a lot of people are learning which stains help the most with various pain problems and will share the information! We certainly need pain relief in the U.S.!

Sammo, I've noticed the same thing: once I already had an attack, MJ seemed useless, and could it even worsen the pain.Maybe I should try it when I have prodromal symptoms(like aura).

What would be a relaxing strain, for example?I don't know, I'm new in this field.

I'm trying to find migraine and IBS strains myself, right now I'm very fond of Whiteberry, and Himalaya Gold. I'm waiting for White Rhino to dry...I've heard Blueberry works well for migraines but have yet to try it because of the cost. Right now I'm using G13 Labs Pure Gold on my headaches, (because it's all I've got at the moment) and it seems to help head them off if I take it early on...most strains I've tried just make headaches worse if your head is already bumping when you take it.

What you want is a plant that is predominantly indica. The reason you got a headache before was because you smoked a bud that was a sativa which gives you a head rush (I don't like the high goes throughout your body and i felt like my head was going to explode one time which was scary. You want white widow,aurora indica,white rhino,snow white. These give you narcotic sedative effects and make you feel stoned. I love smoking indica cause my eye lids get really chunky and swollen lol and my face gets numb.

Sativas give me headaches.. However White strains are good, green crack is love, most indica hyrids that are indica dom..

Also if/when you do start to grow you want to harvest your plant when the trichomes look amber/brown. That will up the sedative effect and your migraine should be gone. There are also more potent strains than what I listed but those are for people who want to get really blasted.
