Last June I had surgery on my hip and i'm still in constant pain so I figured its about time to get a medical card. My problem is that since then i have lost my house in california. I currently attend university of Arizona and i go back to cali on all of my breaks but i live with other people. My drivers license is california but the address on the license is not mine anymore. Can I use my arizona address with my california ID?? Do I have a chance at being able to get a medical card?

a medical card from CA won't do you any good in Arizona, but yes all they need is a Cali ID, the rest is whatever. hope this helps (maybe check out legal link in my sig?)

ok so i read the legal link in your sig (very helpful). just one question. when I'm filling out forms what can i do. Is it possible to put my arizona address or what else can I do?
my reasoning for not jsut using the same address thats on my id (besides that my family moved) is that in case mail gets sent for any reason to that house with my name on it, it will be forwarded to my parents house. This is a problem because no matter how many times i explain to my mom that marijuana is a medicine and that it helps people every day and that it relieves my pain she still hates everything to do with it. Not really sure why. So essentially i'm just trying to avoid any mail from going to that address.

id just get a p o box and use the old address.just make sure to be clear to mail stuff to the po box

and you can request to not have it mailed to ur address, they can mail it to that clinic so you can pick it up in person. other docs might give it to you right away, I don't know.

i have had my license 2 times and from different DR's and i have never had anything mailed to me .. just use your old address cuz if they see your address saying out of state they can not issue you ur license. dont worry about it ...

As I understand it, the CA med card would not allow you to smoke or grow in AZ. It may not prevent arrest, but it would save you from prosecution. Many states have loopholes on this. Because you have a legal prescription from a doctor, they can't prevent you from taking your prescription. They will confiscate your stash, but can't put you in jail.
