all you need is physicians exemption in CA. this is a written statement from your doctor that you qualify for mmj. you legally don't have to have the card. in mendocino for example(researching because i'm moving there), you would obtain doctors exemption, and to get card i believe you must apply at the sherrifs office, no thanx

yeah, positive about physicians exemption. question of this post though is to have or not to have card. if you apply at sherrifs office for card, then they will know that you could be growing. i'm just not sure yet if it's better to have card as it might be better recognized by police than a piece of paper from your doctor. don't forget, federal law still prohibits the growing or possessing of mj in any state. also, each county(CA) has different limits as to how much you can grow and dry amounts you can possess.

The california state ID card (issued by each county) i think is required to get the protection of SB420. SB420 says you can not be arrested if you meet the cultivation and posession guidelines, unless LEO thinks your card is fake.
Sounds good, but it also means you are registered and the state knows. Seems like it might keep you out of court though. It's supposed to be something easy for a LEO to recognize. I can't figure out how many people actually get the cards though. |
