So I know this isn't exactly about medical marijuana per se, but it is about medical things and marijuana...

I take Wellbutrin (Actually the generic Budeprion XR 300mg) and I also smoke a fair amount.

Does anyone have any experience with this combination?

I found some thing by Google search, but it was super medically-technical and it wasn't worth my time looking up every other word to learn what they mean so I could decipher the article.

If anyone knows from firsthand experience, that's sort of what I'm looking for.

I'm going to ask my doctor eventually, but my PCP is 2 hours away from me, in my hometown.

If you have depression just switch to a plant like c99 (cindy99) which is a better antidepressant than anything I've found on the pharma market by a huge margin.

All other stuff has nasty side effects and the right weed is all you need. (unless being unable to quit is the source of your depression to begin with.)

My husband was on Wellbutrin to quit smoking cigarettes but still smoked pot. He had no issues what so ever. The wellbutrin did its job he no longer smokes cigarettes (learning to juggle helped) and he is still smoking pot. FYI its been 2 years without smoking a cigarette.

Wellbutrin made me into a zombie, didnt like it.

Ooh and btw. Welbutrin is a MAOI which reacts VERY VERY badly with shrooms acid etc. Be carefull.

Interesting. Well, I don't do anything like acid but thanks for the warning there.

I just take the wellbutrin for depression, and it has seemed to be working extremely well. (Maybe the weed is helping too.)

Also - Wellbutrin is used as a smoking cessation assistant as well... Odd :P

Most weed on the street is the heavier downer indica's. Only if you are growing a strain known to be good for depression would it actually help.

When you see your sex life go to shit because of side effects from wellbutrin or it makes you even more depressed, try the right weed.

Yeah I can tell you, Wellbutrin made me a little bit more depressed, but no doubt it's supposed to be good for kickin' the nicotine. Of course cold turkey is supposed to be best

its been 17 days since i smoked a cig ...im going cold turkey...but yea i remember when i was takin wellbutrin and it made the cigs taste nasty so i didnt smoke that many but fuck wellbutrin that is some gnarly shit
