I was just wondering if anybody knew about how long the process of getting a medical marijuana exemption takes when going through the government...

Is it a matter of a month or two or is there a super long waiting period?

I'm in Colorado. Pretty much had mine in two days. After my Dr.'s appointment where I got prescribed, it took less than 30 days for the State's official license to arrive. But I had a temporary one anyways.

In Colorado as soon as the DR signs your paper you are legal and you can possess MMj. CO MMj registry is optional (though highly recommended); you send them your DR note, App (w/ optional caregiver disignated), ID copy, $90 in certified letter. The registry takes about 2-3 weeks to process your card. Let me know if you need help finding compassionate Doctors.

Are you asking about Canada laws Candianreefer?
In the states we get our MMj lic., through the state. We don't deal with the Gov here at all when it comes to getting our MMj license.

in califorina you just call in and make an appoinment. it usually takes about 20-30 days till you have your appointment.then you just have to bring patient documentation and 135 dollars.and thas about it..

after you complete the 30 page application get your doctor sign get photos hasve a security check give a dna sample(ok I am getting carried away with the dna) but is along and stressful 2- 3 month fuck around but after that you have to get a renueal every year which taks another 2-3 months sorry I asm bitter today with the health canada program been waiting 3 months for a address change. I sometimes liked it better being a no legal law breaker then I could help my friends with good weed instead of the shit they buy of the street but that the price you have to pay to be legal.
