| | I didn't know it was ever made illegal, at least when speaking in terms of medical usage. |

| | It is only legal for medical use in something like maybe ten states. I think there may be a couple more states that are working on the legality right now |

| | Surely if the medical bodies have deemed it effective for medical use, then it should become standard throughout the US?
What objections can the other states have? |

| | "What objections can the other states have?" Its all about money and power. The two entities that make the most off of illegal drugs are the criminal justice system and drug dealers. We have over 2 million people in prison here in the U.S., about half on NON-violent drug offenses. If one was a member of the criminal justice system, why in the world would one want legalized drugs? If one were a drug dealer/importer operating in the black market, at black market prices, why in the world would one want legalized drugs? Also in the equasion are the tax agencies like the Internal Revenue Service. Drug money cannot be traced, therefore, no income tax. Like I said, its all about money and power. Vi |

| | In america marijuana is a schedule 1 drug this means its a federal crime to posses it anywhere regaurdless of medical treatment and state laws most noteably proposition 215 in california i.e. if the local cops dont bother you the dea certanily will, so be careful when growing, in most areas it breaks down to how much you are in possesion of that will determine your punishment anything of 2.2 pounds(1 kilo) or under is a misdemeanor (up to 1 year in jail and a fine up to 2000$) anything over is a felony and thats where you really get fucked. so lets all do our part to overgrow this prohibition. shotty |

| | I'm a medical Marijuana user and here in Colorado it is legal. Yes the local cops can bust you and take you to jail. But in Colorado if you do have a legal card the courts will throw the case out.
Go to: Medical Marijuana in Colorado
or do a search for The Herb and Cannabis foundation!

| | Hey you forgot Oregon. I am a medical marijuana patient and from what I have read on this forum I am spoiled rotten.
We have a organization here AMOP (alternative medical outreach program) that specializes in mm (medical marijuana and other things like bio-feedback, acpuncture, etc.).
Once a month I can go to a marijuana class. You have to be a medical marijuana card holder. The class lasts about 3 hours and it covers whatever we want. From growing to harvesting. We have guests come and do demostrations (like the proper way to clone). They will come out to our houses and show us how to properly set up grow rooms. They give out seeds and clones. I have brought home samples of fertilizers and bud producing stuff. And it's all free.
In turn I donated about a pound of bud this summer. All of this is legal in Oregon. Only people with MM cards are allowed to participate and everything is kept within legal guidelines.
Our dear Democratic governor (who I plan on voting for) increased the amount of pot that we can legally have on hand. Now it's 1.5 lbs. and 6 adult/full sized plants. God bless him. He didn't do much else while in office but he increased the amount of my pot. It helps my migraines and stress. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
