Ron Paul is technically a Republican, and he's pro medical marijuana.

Whether or not he's "really" a Republican is debatable (he's also run for office as a Libertarian in the past), but in practice, it makes no difference. He's not getting the Republican nomination for President, and he's old enough that his window of opportunity for running again is closing fast.

But much more to the point, Chris Christie, Republican governor of NJ, is *highly* popular among the Tea Party and Republican base (they're not the same) and he just signed onto medical marijuana in the State of NJ.

So its not fair to say that "every" Republican is anti cannabis, or virulently so.

Newt Gingrich actually used to be pro-medical marijuana, and way back in the early 1980s he actually sponsored an early medical MJ bill! Of course he's done a polar 180 in that time, and is now against it, but the thought was there. . .once (kind of like Obama!).

fat fuck Christie had nothing to do with medical marijuana in N.J ,that law was signed and passed before he became govenor.It passed in 2009 and still not 1 patient receives it because fat fuck has done everything in his power to stop it,Endless regulation and red tape ,limiting thc content to 12% ,was his brilliant contribution to the law,patients can't grow their own ,Jersey mm law is a fucking travesty of the american justice system,passed by nj congress ,signed into law by corrupt govenor corzine( mf global) but still ,going on 4 years later no mm.

Ron Paul is pretty much out, as cool as his take on MMJ is his polices would work in today's society and it would take an all out Civil War in the United States for his shit to work.
