Opening Dispensary in Colorado

2- I know that on Colorado's government health website it says that the Registery does not give licenses to dispensaries, but is a specific license required other than a business/tax license?

3- How does the dispensary get their medicine? Caregivers, vendors/wholesalers? Do they grow themselves and if so how many plants are they allowed to grow?

4- Can they grow and at the same time buy from others to increase their inventory? Or is it one or the other to equal a total legal amount of plants?

5- Is it for profit or non-profit? Is it totally 1000% legal to open and operate without any gray areas?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

It is all grey area at present.........there are no specific regulations regarding dispensaries.......read Amendment 20 and go to the website......sorry I don't have the info handy and don't feel like doing your homework for you.......but I found it easily. Don't know how much assistance I'd expect from someone I'm going to try to compete with....as in dispensary owners. The lack of clear rules has led to dispensaries popping up like weeds....pun intended......and now they are slapping moratoriums on it until they figure out how to regulate it....... There is a ton of misinformation and things will be changing soon.........stay tuned.....


How do you suppose the parents of the kids in the 7 schools that were locked down after the shoot out at the dispensary feel about all this right about now? Man, we really need the profile lowered a bit......they will always twist it to make the industry look bad........I doubt they needed to lock down all those schools......but for dramatic effect........this legal battle isn't over people.....the propaganda has just begun, regulation is a step towards real legalization but will also be used to create as much red tape as possible. It is both the best and worst thing that can happen. Pray for sanity and a fair and equitable solution for all...... Register, Vote, make your voice heard and educate yourself and others as best you can.
