Default Yellow tips, edges, scattered dried leaves HELP before flowering
So, im thinking about flowering in about 2-3 weeks due to a busy schedule and maybe not being able to tend to the babies as necessary right now

could anyone held me out with my leaves?

They are on a nute schedule and watering schedule, getting nutes every other watering with 3-4 days in between each feeding. HALF strength nutes only. I use a two solution process of GROW A and B, with an additive of Bcuzz (full strength - which i stopped using recently due to the leaf coloration). every other feeding a use only ph'ed water around 6, give or take some decimals.

i am growing in rockwool (i am thinking about testing the PH that runs out of the rockwool next feeding)

the two stockier looking indicas (im assuming) with chubier leaves take well to the feeding schedule. The one stocky plant has absolutely no flaws and is growing BEAUTIFULLY. the other stocky plant has only one yellowy tip.

the other two plants with skinnier leaves and that are a bit taller ( im assuming sativa?) are the ones with the problem leaves.

the plants are still in a veg state and are on an 18/6 cfl schedule

thanks in advance

I suggest on your next runoff test the ph or ppm of it to determine if it is a deficiency. Kinda of looks like a light burn on that single leaf though

i was thinking maybe nitrogen deficiency?

once i test the runoff ph, then what?

also, i dont have a ppm meter

even if the plants stay like this, is it going to hinder the flowering process?

i jsut cant tell if this is deficiency or nute burn...

i just looked at the bottoms of the plants, and the roots that should be a bright white... are bronzing into a semi redish brownish color

i have rockwool sitting on a flood and drain tray... should i be using a grow medium like clay pellets to protect the roots?

normally when i was watering the plants, i was making sure that the ph was around 6 ...

come to find out, after gaining the knowledge to check the runoff ph, the ph was well into the mid 7's or possibly even 8... due to the alkalinity of the rockwool...

i lowered the entering water to about mid 5's, and now the runoff water is a perfect mid 6 ish ...

ill see how this goes

i have the same problem... i have a feeling it's a combination of nute burn and overwatering... i gave my plants some all purpose plant food and it started happening... then i flushed them thinking it would solve the problem, but that made it worse... so now i am going to let my soil dry out, and hope to sweet baby jesus everything works out

so far this is what i've tried...

i water every 3-4 days (which is more than certainly NOT overwatering)
i rotate watering with feeding, which ends up working out to a nute feeding once a week.
after examining the bottoms of my plants, the roots are starting to bronze, and feel a little rubbery and dried out...
i'm assuming that the roots on the bottom arent getting enough water.
i'm going to start wetting the plants with ph'd water every 1 1/2 or 2 days to make sure the roots are staying moist.

since im using rockwool i finally remembered that the rockwool makes water more alkaline. i just started watering the plants with slighty more acidic water so that the alkalinity of the rockwool is set off...

im going to see what the next to days have in store for my plants...

keep checking back to this thread and ill keep u updated on whats going on over here on my end, and feel free to post whatever problems you are having on your end

good luck to both of us

hopefully everything goes well... i flushed my plants like 5 days ago... i just watered them again today... i think you are right... water should be given constantly but in small amounts to keep the soil moist.. i think letting it dry out causes the plants to go into some sort of shock and they work in overdrive to live.. lol i have no idea.. but lets see... i am going to water like 4 oz or water, 2 times a day.. lets see what happens

actually, if you look up on youtube.

how to grow weed, by MR GREEN... he waters his plants 3 times a day!

its a little obsurd because the big hype is to keep your plants on the drier side to get them thriving for the water they receive every 3, 4 or even 5 days...

but what alot of newer people like myself get disillusioned by is... now im thinking... ok, keep my plants nice and dry... but what we may be doing is keeping the plants TOO dry... which is just as bad as overwatering in some cases....

so what we need to do i guess is find a happy medium.... im going to flood my rockwool once a day, then squeeze out the excess water so its not water logged...

im going to check how that goes...

and for you, i would recommend, even tho your not using rockwool... to test the ph of the runoff water (the water that leaks out the bottom of your pot after you water). the water that comes out of the pot isnt going to be exactly what you put in... so ucan adjust the water you put in, to get the desired ph coming out
