ya in the future dont boil the tea, your mix should be fine, i would apply at lights off and rinse before the lights come back on... if they are mites you will have white suck marks on the tops of your leaves, also it may be thrips, they leave little black dookie marks on the bottoms of the leaves... either way the tea will kill em..

go to radio shack and get a scope, 12 bux, 60-100x with a light.. 2 AA batteries not included

Back when I used to have a big garden, I got mites near the end of the flowering stage. I knew I couldn't do anything to rid my garden of them at that point so I just tried to keep them from getting out of control. I kept the temp and humidity just right because at just the right levels, they slow significantly. They move slower, they eat slower and they breed slower.

Once it was time to harvest, I cut my plants and hung them upside down in the dark. After a few hours I went in and all the mites had gathered where I had cut the stems. There were hundreds of them, on each cut, piled on top of each other. So I went down the line and squashed them with my thumb, literally killing thousands of them.

When I manicured, they were gone. Not a single fucker in the lot. When it was time to smoke, the little bastards were nowhere to be found.

I'm no expert but I think they were congregating on the one spot where the "juice" was flowing the heaviest, which was on the open cut.

actually spider mites only like live plants, not dead organic material.. when you chop em down, their life force ceases, forcing the mites to leave and find a new host. obciously if they are hanging upside down they cant make it to the bottom, so naturally they have to go up and make their way across.. when i have mites i put stickyfoot on either side of the lines where they connect to whatever they are hanging on and ill end up with a bunch of em stuck... the last thing you want is the fucks gettin down and making their way to your mommies!

The way I had my rooms set up, I didn't really have any mommies. It was more like three grandmas and a whole bunch of new mommies every cycle. I had two rooms; one for clones and veg, the other for flowering.
After harvesting the flowering room, I'd give it a good scrubbing, from top to bottom. Then, right before I'd transfer my veg plants to the flowering room, I'd take a bunch of clones off of several of the plants. Those clones would grow in the veg room until it was time to switch 'em over. Because I had so many plants to choose from I could be picky. I only took clones from the strongest, healthiest plants, which insured a hardy bunch of plants. And when they went into the flowering room, it was sterile and bug free. It was nice little cycle I had going.

For some reason, I never really had a problem with them in the veg side (I think they knew the good stuff was in the other room). But no matter how hard I tried, I never could keep those little bastards out of the flowering room. They're like the Michael Jordan of bugs. You can't stop 'em. You can only hope to contain them. I did pretty good though.

i went an bought that microscope from radio shack, and I dont have mites or thrips, that microscope is freaking cool, its only drawback is that it is so small you only get to look a such a small point but you really get to look at it! lol the spots are just how this plant starts its breakdown I guess, I didnt see any thing on any plant that look like a living being, and I spent like 4hrs in the room looking at everything up close. So I am keeping my tabbacco tea in a jar in the closet untill its needed! Flo I tried to rep you but it says I need to spread the love first, but thanks for the radio shack advice!

i had a problem with mites a few months back,i can ashore you that the (mite eradicator) works a dam treat,stop piss fartin around with diff antidotes,if ya have mites make a 2 ltr bottle of that up,put it in a sprayer and you wont look back,havnt seen 1 since!!!

Sometimes you just have to go through with a wet, wet rag and wipe 'em off. If you have webs, try to clear them out first. Then go after the fuckers that are crawling around. You'll find tons of 'em to kill on the under sides of your leaves.

I don't think there are any trips to be had if you smoke the mites but you'll know if they're there when your weed snaps, crackles and pops.

1 part water, 1 part isopropyl rubbing alcohol (i'm using 91%) and a few drops of dawn liquid dish detergent.

mites die within seconds, and it's just as effective for eggs.

my two-spotted mite population disappeared over night because of this solution.
