IMO if you went with the darkness (24-36 id say) then you would also have to come back to 24hrs of light to put them back in veg. From what i've read the darkness helps to explode growth b/c they think they need to flower and it eases them into that transition. But if theres any way you can get that 24 hrs of lig.......wait. what stage of growth are you in?

I will have a hard time manipulating light because I'm growing outdoors and don't have any type of light set-up.

The plants were started in the first week of April, germed and planted by about the 7th of April. Since we've only just passed the summer solstice, they were only JUST beginning to show pre-flowers, though some were unmistakable as to which way they were gonna swing. I know it's probably too late to get a lot of bud, but I'd like to recover as much as I can. sheesh.

By the way, did I mention that it's getting f'ing hot? When I woke up this morning at about 6am it was 79F. I told my husband, who has had me close up a 90F+ house every evening after telling me he would prefer I not run the A/C, that TODAY, I am closing up and putting on the A/C. Neither of us grew up with it, but I learned a while ago that it's better to just turn it on before it gets murder hot, rather than running it for hours trying to cool off a 96F house. Oy!

holy hell I have been missing something in this thread. lol...you silly gaggle of gooses. anyway...seamaiden...do not give those plants darkness...do not do not. if you can keep em in veg as long as possible they will just bud up faster at the end of the season. they know the light is diminishing and will take care of themselves and their buds in flowering...just keep em in veg and you will get more buds...bigger girls equal bigger nuggets. plants get a lot smarter in the fall....lol
