I would also get it in a larger pot too. After seeing it, wait 2 weeks after re-potting it and then top it. So there is more growth.

maybe you need to repot if you do just put it right in a 5 gallon bucket i did and my shit blew up

You can use it if that is all you have. Just use like a 1/4 of the suggested amount to start. Then I feed every other watering. But do this after re-pot it cause you will have to water then anyways, lol. What you using for soil mix?

im going to have to pick some up tomorrow right now its just in whatever my friend used. whats a good soil to get

I use a promix and add my own nutes to it. Promix contains meat moss, perlite, vermiculite or lmestone. You can get it at any garden type store. Try to stay away from the soils that have nutes in them already. I like to add my own for better control. As for nutrients for vegging it, you need one that lots of N nitrogen in it. For flowering you will need one that has more phosphate and potasium than the nitrogen.
