Default slime on roots?

i am running a hydro set up w/ LR#2'S 2 of the plants roots have a brown slime on them i will post a pic in a few i have never seen it before if anyone have an idea let me know. it CAN'T BE GOOD

Looks like rot to me. I had the same thing. I took tugged on my roots a little and they just started falling apart? what's your ph?
