    Default Root on top of the soil?!?!

    I transplanted my baby and now one of its roots i going upwards on top of soilI covered the root with soil ......this possible to grow upwards??!Does this happens ever??
    Sorry my camera broke I don't have pictures right now...

    In outer space, yeah, because the plants have no way to "tell" which way is up (microgravity). Just try to keep it covered with soil, be careful when you water and all will be well.

    I was just wondering how the root is gettin up???
    Yesterday after transplanting and watering ,there were no roots above...

    Same thing happened to me when I did my first transplant. I don't normally grow other plants from seed, so I hadn't taken into account the importance of making sure the soil is tamped down a bit. Until it settles around the roots well (which I didn't worry about with them when they were seedlings) every time you water you'll expose some root. If it's a clone you're working with, I know that some plants will reproduce via "stolon" growth, and others like aspen and mesquite send out roots laterally I think.

    Or.. It could be a mutant plant from outer space. Live long and prosper.

    No,it's not a clone(clown ) Wtf this roots are very stubborn xaxa...I'll be watching this little rootlings :P ...Can I ask smthin not so in sense with this thread...I wonder what is this thing growin on my baby?

    Makes sense, and of course you can ask more questions. That little thing is a calyx, if I'm not mistaken.
