Default To Prune or not to prune?

So, my plants are about 4 weeks into veg cycle and the bottoms of all of them have dead, yeallow and brown dried out leaves. The tops are all healthy looking though. Ive heard this can be common but should i just leave them be or prune the dead leaves? And if so how do i do it? just peel them off? or cut them? Also on a few of them where the dead leaves are there looks like new green leaves are starting to sprout. Is this common? Just a lil help would be appreciated. Also a few of my plants are on the taller side - about 7-8 inches high with about 6 or 7 nodes. I was wondering if I could start the flowering cycle soon. I wanted smaller plants because I have 7 plants and not a huge grow space. I just dont want to force them too soon. Thanks for all the help in advance.

Go ahead and remove the dead leaves. I would cut them off with a sharp knife. A razor blade or exacto knife works well. The new growth ya see are the branches. If ya tye/bend the top down the branches will grow like crazy. Bend the top down and tye it. Try it on 1 or 2 plants and you will see what happens.

I am sure its too early to flower them.

You can definetly start to flower them if you want. Especially if you want to keep them on the smaller side. And as for the yellow and brown dried leaves, just pick them off. I read it's actually recomended so that they dont take away from the rest of the plant. I do it to my plants and never had an issue.

where should I cut them at? the node or a little past the beginning of the branch? and as for tying them down, i still have to re pot them but i plan on doing the low stress training after. Should I just skip doing this to all the branches and just tie down from the top?
